Valheim, the popular survival game, which recently released its much-anticipated Ashlands update, made the announcement on social media. Valheim will have full crossplay support, allowing players on different platforms to play together.

Crossplay Support Confirmed
The developers shared the news on X, confirming that Mac users will soon be able to join the Viking adventure on June 10, 2024. In a tweet shared on Tuesday, the developers declared, "We have an important announcement to make! #Valheim is set to launch on Mac next week, with full crossplay support."
While it's clear that the game will be available on both Steam and the Apple App Store, the developers did not specify which Mac models will be compatible. It remains unclear if Valheim will require the latest M1 or M2 chips or if it will run on older Intel-based Macs.
Mod Support and Other Details
In response to questions on X, the Valheim developers stated that mod support will not be available for the Mac version. This aligns with their policy for other platforms, where mods are not officially supported.
More information about the Mac version of Valheim is expected to be released closer to the launch date. For now, Mac users can look forward to joining the world of Valheim and experiencing the game alongside players on other platforms.
