It's time for #SteamSpotlight once again, and it's time to shine the spotlight on yet another game on Steam!
For this feature, we are shining the spotlight on an indie sandbox game that lets you create a world to your own liking. Are you capable of creating a healthy, beautiful environment where anything in it thrives?
That's what you'll find out when you play Equilinox!
#SteamSpotlight Feature: Equilinox
Released on November 24, 2018, Equilinox is developed and published by ThinMatrix. As mentioned, it is an indie simulation sandbox game that lets you build your very own world.
This means you'll have to create different ecosystems, and you get to pick which plants and animals to place in your world. Animals are particularly essential in this game as they will help you gain points that can be used to unlock resources to help your ecosystems thrive.
You can likewise use the points you earn to genetically modify species you place in your world. You'll be able to alter behaviors and traits, and even evolve them in order to unlock other plants and creatures.

It's All About Balance
As is in real life, each plant and animal has its own set of needs and behaviors. You'll have to keep track of all of these and ensure that each specie has what it needs to grow and thrive. Take note that it's important to have healthy animals in order to earn more points.
While you can place as many plants and animals as you want, it's all about balance in this game. An unbalance ecosystem just might cause problems along the way.
