The first, Boss Revenge, is a straightforward rematch against any of the bosses in the story and gives players the option to test their mettle against different difficult levels. You can also record your best efforts on a leaderboard, which will sure to rile up some competition among fans.

For every single boss that you face, you will have a specific loadout for health, weapon upgrades, and abilities. However, your amulets and Athra Surges will carry over from your save file, giving you some freedom of customization in the new challenges, according to Rock Paper Shotgun,

On the other hand, the other new mode, Boss Rush, will send together all of the game's eight bosses into a gauntlet.

Between each fight, players will be given a chance to switch out their gear but they will not be allowed to refill anything, including health and potions. This means that resource management is key to surviving through the entire challenge.

The two new modes both offer the extra-hard challenge of turning on No Hit difficulty, which means that players cannot take even a single hit or they will instantly die. While the latest update is largely for players' own personal achievement, Boss Rush does give off some rewards for surviving the gauntlet.

When you complete the mode on any difficulty level, you will receive a new outfit for Sargon that was inspired by the 2008 Prince of Persia reboot.

On the other hand, for those hardened enough to successfully beat the No Hit difficult level, will get a costume that strips your character to only a few scraps of cloth around his waist, hands, and feet.

Various Quality-of-Life Additions

Regarding the changes to fast travel, the new update makes players capable of teleporting at the game's Wak-Wak trees instead of using teleports that are sparsely scattered across the map. This would give players more options to teleport and is a nice quality-of-life update, said PCGamesN.

Other than the new content, the Boss Attack update also enhances accessibility and gameplay. It introduces improvements to the game's High Contrast mode that ensures better attack readability by distinguishing between yellow and red enemy attacks.

Another quality-of-life improvement that the latest update brings is stability improvements that aim to prevent the game from crashing on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It also features various gameplay tweaks and fixes to quests that are expected to enhance the overall player experience.

Since it was released in January earlier this year, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown continues to evolve and offers players new and exciting ways to immerse themselves in the game's world, according to GameRant.
