Activision has released the roadmap for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile which reveals what the publisher has in store for its mainline shooter franchise.
Fans of the series can expect to see three brand new core 6v6 maps in season 4 as well as an Unstable Rift that they can explore in Modern Warfare Zombies. There is also an Urzikstan mystery that can be solved before a potentially explosive countdown Event.
Activision Reveals Call of Duty Roadmap
The future updates include a host of new Warzone features, such as iconic new weapons, more Aftermarket Parts, new Operators, and many more.
There is a mysterious DNA bomb that was found at Popov Power in Urzikstan and players and their teammates will be tasked with figuring out what happened and prevent anything worse from occurring.
There is a chance that the outbreak will spread into Multiplayer as there is an assortment of core 6v6 maps, exciting modes, powerful weapons, new perks, destructive killstreaks, and battle-ready recon and hazmat-inspired gear included in the Battle Pass, according to the Call of Duty blog.
All of these new additions will let you remain deadly calm and effective because one mistake could make everything go badly. The updates will feature a lot of free content along with Events, Challenges, and various Weapon Camos that you can unlock.

Alongside the new roadmap, Activision also released a trailer that gives players a glimpse into what they can expect from the future updates to the Call of Duty franchise. One of the new things that you will see is the previously-teased Gundam collaboration.
This particular update will feature the original RX-78-2, Char's Zaku, and Witch From Mercury's Aerial and Activision also teased a special secret collaboration. The latter already has fans of the series speculating on the various possibilities of what it could be.
A Lot of New Content
However, what many players are most excited about, probably, is John "Soap" MacTavish, who sort of returns in what the publisher is calling an attempt to "honor his legacy." There will also be two new Operators named Hammer and Void, said IGN.
Other than these, the Battle Pass will feature two separate Soap skins, one of which will be available to players immediately after purchase. While the character is beloved by fans, some have mixed feelings about him being included in the Season 4 Battle Pass.
One YouTuber, HiddenXperia, said that Call of Duty once again resurrects an "objectively dead character purely so they can sell skins for him." He added that Soap was "literally" shot in the head during the campaign of Modern Warfare 3 but now has magically come back to life.
Activision will offer a free trial for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just one day before the official launch of Season 4 which will take place from May 30, 2024, to June 3, 2024. Players who participate in the trial will be given access to both the Multiplayer and Zombies game modes of the game, according to GameSpot.
