Ultimate Guide on Which Ghost of Tsushima Armor is Best for You

Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima was originally a PlayStation exclusive but has recently been released on PC via Steam with a Director's Cut edition and is enjoying its position as the top PlayStation = to PC port.

With the enemies that you will face off against in Ghost of Tsushima, having the appropriate weapon is key to winning battles. However, it is also equally important to have the right armor to keep yourself protected from various attacks.

In Ghost of Tsushima, there are a variety of armor that players can find that provide various benefits. You can view the armor that you have picked up in the Gear > Outfit menu and your character's outfit has three components.

However, the only piece of equipment that grants bonuses is in the Armor slot and this is where you equip the armor that Jin wears around his torso. The other two slots are for the mask and helmet and are there purely for cosmetic reasons, according to Epic Games.

The majority of the armor available in Ghost of Tsushima can be upgraded by visiting an Armorer, who is scattered around settlements throughout the game's expansive map. There are some armor that cannot be upgraded, however.

When starting out the game, you will only have the Broken Armor that doesn't really do anything special and it is best to look for a replacement as soon as possible. A particularly useful set of armor is the Traveler's Attire which features a variety of perks.

These include being able to track Artifacts with the Guiding Wind, letting traveling clear more fog of war on the map, and having your controller vibrate when you are close to an Artifact. This particular armor is best used when traversing the map, especially on horseback, to explore the various areas of the map.

The next piece is the Hero of Tsushima Armor which is included with the game's Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as the Director's Cut. This is a free set that can be acquired after making some progress into the game, said ClutchPoints.

The Hero of Tsushima Amor provides an increase to the player's health and also reduces all incoming damage, making you survive longer. This is best used in the early stages of the game during fights to help you outlast your enemies.

Various Benefits and Boosts

For players who prefer fighting at longer ranges, Tadayori's Armor is a good pick because it has various benefits for bo-based mechanics. This armor piece can be found in the Mythic Tale "The Legend of Tadayori."

It provides an increase in nocking and reload speed, an increase in total Concentration time, and makes headshots restore Concentration. It is considered to be the best armor when using the bow as its skills are all ranged-based bonuses.

On the other hand, getting up close and personal without being seen as a stealthy assassin will benefit from the Ronin Attire. While being one of the best armor in the game, it can be found relatively early by completing the "Blood on the Grass" mission.

This armor boosts players' melee damage while also reducing the detection speed of enemies, making it easier for you to hide your presence. When at the highest level, the Ronin Attire significantly slows the detection speed of opponents when you have just gotten out of pampas grass, according to Sportskeeda.
