Dave the Diver, the highly popular casual adventure RPG title, is reportedly collaborating with Guilty Gear Strive, but only for the Nintendo Switch.
Arc System Works just announced the North American release date for Dave the Diver Anniversary Edition, which is now June 28, 2024, following a delay. The delay was said to be a result of "production issues."
Dave the Diver's Guilty Gear Strive Collaboration
The original release date was scheduled for May 30, 2024, and Arc System Works formally apologized for the inconvenience. The studio also said that they will make sure to update fans who have already pre-ordered the game as well as the entire community with any new information regarding the launch.
Also, the pre-orders for the Japanese physical release of Dave the Diver will officially be live on Playasia. What is noteworthy is that this version is region-free and includes support for English and other languages.
The collaboration between Dave the Diver and Guilty Gear Strive will feature content from the latter being added to the former. These include themed graphics for the boat and customers who wear themed costumes.
There is also a rhythm game that will give players access to the song "The Disaster of Passion." The Guilty Gear Strive collaboration is also not the first for Dave the Diver, which has already teamed up with Godzilla and games like Dredge in the past.

For those who actually do end up buying the new version of the game early, you will be given access to some special stickers and a soundtrack CD that features Dave the Diver music.
But despite Dave the Diver being available on Steam and soon on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the Guilty Gear Strive collaboration will only be available on Nintendo Switch, said EventHubs.
Dave the Diver's previously announced collaboration was with Godzilla which will have the giant radioactive lizard stomping over the horizon on May 23, 2024. There was also a note on the bottom of a detailed blog post that said, "Godzilla Content Pack is a time-limited free DLC."
New DLC Pack
It noted that the DLC pack would only be available from May 23, 2024, until November 23, 2024. Right now, it is still unclear whether it will only be available during that time or if will become a paid DLC afterward.
In the new DLC, Godzilla has invaded and the G-Force has arrived at the Blue Hole to inform Dave of the threat that lurks beneath the depths.
You will eventually come face-to-face with the gigantic kaiju, who is seen as being injured. On top of Godzilla, Dave the Diver players will also have to deal with the deep-sea kaiju, Ebirah.
The game's other previous DLC crossover also involved the indie hit Dredge, which is a Lovecraftian fishing game. This was most likely a highly unexpected crossover between the two games, according to NintendoLife.
On top of these, the Guilty Gear franchise is also expected to appear on Epos Visa credit cards in Japan starting Mar. 15, 2024. The latest entry in the fighting game series, Guilty Gear Strive, will be part of the lineup at Evo 2024 in Japan.
