Delays and Anticipation

Originally scheduled for Early Access in April, Abyss Online faced setbacks that pushed its release to May 6, only to be delayed again until yesterday. Despite the delays, the team at Old World Labs has been diligently working to ensure a smooth launch. The extended playtest on Steam allowed the developers to refine the game further, ensuring an optimal experience for players.

What to Expect in the Early Access

Described as a buy-to-play sandbox game, Abyss Online offers players a plethora of choices and challenges. Drawing comparisons to popular titles like Ultima/Albion Online and ARK: Survival Evolved, the game promises an immersive experience filled with exploration and adventure. In a statement on the game's Steam page, the developers warned players to expect chaos, urging them to be vigilant as they navigate the unforgiving newbie zone.

With Abyss now available in Early Access, the team behind the game is focused on continued development leading up to a full launch later this year. The Early Access phase not only allows players to experience the game firsthand but also provides valuable feedback to the developers, helping them fine-tune and improve the game before its official release.
