On Thursday, Summer Game Fest unveiled its Round 1 partners for 2024, comprising a formidable roster of gaming heavyweights. In addition to the powerhouse duo of Xbox and PlayStation, prominent publishers including Ubisoft, EA, Sega, Epic, Bandai Namco, Capcom, 2K, and WB Games are set to make their mark.
Noteworthy additions to the lineup also include Amazon Games and Netflix Games, alongside a multitude of other contributors such as Focus Entertainment, Funcom, and Niantic. While entities like Steam, Meta, and Samsung are listed as participants, the extent of their involvement remains unclear.

Filling the Void Left by E3's Absence
Since its inception as a digital-only affair in 2021, Summer Game Fest has admirably filled the void left by the absence of E3. Serving as a pivotal platform for gaming announcements and showcases, the event has garnered significant attention from both industry insiders and gaming enthusiasts alike.
This year's main event is scheduled to kick off from the YouTube Theater in LA at 2:00 PM Pacific/5:00 PM Eastern on June 7, followed by a series of supplementary showcases including the Wholesome Direct indie game showcase, Latin American Games Showcase, and Women-Led Games showcase on June 8. The festivities will culminate with the Xbox Games Showcase and PC Gaming Show on June 9.
The announcement on PlayStation LifeStyle confirms that Summer Game Fest 2024 will showcase more than 50 publishers and studios.
