Last week we got our official confirmation that Marvel characters would be in Disney Infinity 2.0, and now this week Disney has accidentally leaked the release date via their own fan club blog.
Eurogamer (with the help of a cached copy of Disney's post from Infinity Inquirer) uncovered that Disney themselves unknowingly revealed the release date of the sequel to last year's Infinity.
"Disney Infinity 2.0 is coming in August 2014, and a teaser trailer can be viewed at Marvel.com," Disney's fan club blog stated. "The teaser promises such Marvel-ous additions to the game as familiar Marvel characters, objects, and vehicles-the possibilities are infinite."
They didn't give an exact release date, but much like Skylanders always releases in October every year and Call of Duty always releases in November, we can probably safely say that Disney is looking to release their title yearly in August from now on.
August is always a bare month for game releases as well, so Infinity 2.0 should be all alone when it releases. We can probably safely infer that Marvel characters will be in the game right from the get-go as well.
Now if they could just get some Star Wars characters involved...
