Are you not on the PS4 bandwagon yet and wondering if it would even be worth your while to grab Final Fantasy XIV for your trusty old PS3?
Well, thankfully IGN has swooped to the rescue with a handy graphics comparison of the PS3, PS4 and PC versions of the game, and the PS3 one really doesn't look too different.
Predictably, the PS3 version doesn't look quite as crisp as the other two, but that's probably largely a byproduct of its 720p resolution against the 1080p of the PS4 and PC.
Textures also aren't as complex on the PS3, which, again, is kind of predictable. But it's not like you'd expect your PS3 to be able to crank out the same graphics as a PS4 anyway.
But the characters themselves came out very good on the PS3. The character models are probably where I noticed the least amount of difference between the three systems.
All in all, it looks really good on PS3, just not in comparison to PS4 or PC. PC and PS4 looked pretty much exactly the same, which you'd expect.
