Gran Turismo 7's update 1.47 is adding the Skoda Vision GT, an all-electric concept racing car as well as two other supercars, the AFEELA Prototype 2024 and the Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Sport Coupe '70.
The latest patch for the racing game will be available on Wednesday, Apr. 24, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. PST / Apr. 25, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. BST / 3:00 p.m. JST. The Skoda Vision GT is a single-seater all-wheel drive TV that was designed by the Czech manufacturer.

The design team behind the supercar drew on the rich heritage of Skoda Motorsport to create a visionary study of a single-seater, all-electric racing concept car. The Skoda Vision GT was exclusively created for Gran Turismo and represents the company's first inclusion in the series.
The car was inspired by the Skoda 1100 OHC Spyder racing car from 1957, which is a car that was originally developed for the 24-hour Le Mans race. The Skoda Vision GT is a modern tribute to the legendary racing car and is said to provide an immersive and responsive driving experience, according to the PlayStation Blog.
The project for the new car started in 2019 when the design team revisited the iconic Skoda 1100 OHC. They initially debated whether or not to restore the original car or simply make a futuristic iteration for the digital age.

After the team consulted with Chief Designer Oliver Stefani, they opted for an innovative approach to the project, which is creating a fusion of the past and future. The racing car concept is also an homage to its legendary predecessor and incorporates the defining features of Skoda's Modern Solid design language.
The Skoda Vision GT also showcases two distinct liveries, one that reflects the heritage of the famous Skoda 130 RS racing car from the 70s and the second was inspired by the Vision 7S concept car.
The Future of Skoda in Gran Turismo
On top of the new cars, the latest update also adds new World Circuits events for Gran Turismo 7. These are the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 Alsace - Village Reverse, the American FR Challenge 550: Trial Mountain Circuit Reverse, and the Vision Gran Turismo Trophy: Grand Valley - Highway 1, said GameRant.
There will also be a new Cafe menu book labeled Extra Menu No. 38: 'Ferrari 12-Cylinder Engines' (Collector Level 38 and above, which features three iconic V12 Ferraris. Players who love to photograph cars in the game's Scapes mode will also be able to feature various spots from the city of San Diego as their backdrop.
Sony's AFEELA Prototype 2024 is also an all-electric vehicle that has a pair of 180kW motors, with one on the front axle and one on the rear. Lastly, the Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Sport Coupe '70 is a 449hp, 7.4-liter LS6 V8 supercar that is a rear-wheel drive machine.
The information regarding the new cars came out a little bit early so fans of the franchise will have to wait a little bit more about any future plans for Skoda models in Gran Turismo 7, according to GTPlanet.
