Fallout 4 is notable among other games in the franchise as it features the iconic power armor, but the X-01 power armor is by far the best one of these.
This guide will help you figure out how and where you can get your hands on arguably the game's strongest power armor. While the X-01 is one of the rarest in the game, there are multiple locations where it can be found, giving you many opportunities to gear yourself and your companions with the iconic equipment.
Before we dive into the details of where to get the armor, it's best to know what you're actually trying to get. The X-01 power armor has an armor rating that is higher than every other type of armor in the Commonwealth. A base set is even stronger than almost all unique power armor pieces.
A full X-01 power armor set without any sort of upgrades will give players 1,220 physical damage resistance, 1,050 radiation resistance, and 790 energy resistance. On the other hand, spending resources to upgrade it to the max will crank these numbers up to 1,820, 1,050, and 1,390 respectively, according to The Gamer.

The Prydwen
Players can get a helmet part of the X-01 power armor at any level if they have access to The Prydwen. You need to join the Brotherhood Of Steel walk to the back of the area's interior and find Proctor Teagan. While he can sell you a variety of items, the one thing that we want from this shop is the X-01 helmet.

West of Finch Farm
Directly west of Finch Farm is where players will find a trailer, which is near a Military Convoy, that contains a partial X-01 power armor that is missing an arm and helmet. Players can also find another duplicate of this part if they travel northeast of the National Guard Training Yard.
Boston's Financial District
Arguably the best place to get a full X-01 power armor set is 35 court in Boston's Financial District. This area is an unmarked location that can easily be found by traveling to the Custom House Tower near the waterfront.
The building where the suit is hidden is across the street from the Custom House Tower. It has a big yellow-and-black sign that reads "35 Court" next to the door, said DualShockers.
Fort Hagen Hangar
Another full suit of the X-01 power armor can be found in the Fort Hagen Hangar and is stored behind a security door inside the area. Players will have to be careful as this place has a lot of Rust Devils that can also enter the armor, which means that being stealthy is the safest way to go.
While the X-01 power armor is technically the best power armor in the game, there is an upgrade to this already devastating equipment. This is the Quantum X-01 that has a blue paint job and a unique perk, which is a faster action point refresh speed.
This particular variant can be acquired by completing one of Fallout 4's most frustrating quests and collecting 35 star cores that are hidden throughout Nuka-World, according to GameRant.
