Wuthering Waves is a Genshin Impact-inspired role-playing game and the developer, Kuro Game, has continued to tease various details about the title.
These include plot details, small demonstrations of game functionality, and gameplay footage. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see if Wuthering Waves can meet the standards set by the company's other game, Punishing: Gray Raven.
Wuthering Waves Release Date
The release date for the latest game is May 22, 2024, and was announced on the official page of the game on X, formerly known as Twitter. However, Kuro Games did not provide an exact time for the launch of Wuthering Waves.
Another thing to note is that time zone differences mean that players from different parts of the world will not dive into Wuthering Waves together. Players should also register on the official game website and subscribe to the newsletter to receive new updates when they come out.
Wuthering Waves will be released directly on PC and mobile devices and it is expected to be quite demanding in terms of minimum and recommended system requirements. However, these would be worth it due to the stunning beauty and incredible animations in the game, according to GameRant.
The developers of the game themselves said that fans will get an unforgettable gaming experience in Wuthering Waves' new world. They said that it takes the best from Punishing: Gray Raven and the top gacha games of the past few years and mixes them in with unique features.
The game features an immersive open world where players will have to develop the plot, fight bosses, and form their strongest team. Wuthering Waves brings back the all-familiar gacha system that will feature unique characters.

Kuro Games also promises small innovations that will allow players to look at the gaming world significantly differently. The second closed beta for Wuthering Waves started on Feb. 19, 2024. And was available for players on PC, Android, and iOS.
As this has now closed, there are currently no plans for a third closed beta because the full launch of the game is less than a month away. Fans who are looking for more information about the game can visit the official Wuthering Waves YouTube channel, said PocketTactics.
Similarities With Genshin Impact
It features a series of exciting dev talks that discuss art design, combat, in-game echo system, and many other features that will be found in the game. One of the biggest things that people will notice about the game is its similarity to Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact is a groundbreaking title that introduced players to a massive gacha system in 2020 and has grown its base since then. One of the core features that attract players to the game is its deep narrative and storytelling.
Wuthering Waves takes Genshin Impact's pity system and 50/50 mechanics for certain characters, who will be categorized into 4-star and 5-star rarities. The former also has elemental gameplay, featuring Fusion (Fire), Glacio (Ice), Conducto (Lightning), Aero (Wind), Havoc (Dark), and Spectra (Light).
However, there are significant differences between the two games as well, such as visual styles and combat mechanics. These help Wuthering Waves set itself apart from Genshin Impact's universe, according to OneEsports.
