Genshin Impact's upcoming 4.6 update has had new leaks that give players a potential look at what they can expect to see later this month, including changes to Treasure Compasses, a new Boss event, and many more!
The changes to Treasure Compasses are said to be a complete rework of the gadgets' functionality. The game itself offers players a chance to explore and discover a variety of hidden secrets. With so many treasure chests littered across the world, it can be difficult to simply look for treasures without any sort of help.

But the Treasure Compass is an item that players can craft that will make it easier to find hidden items. These gadgets point players in the direction of nearby chests but the new chance could make them much more simple to use in the overworld.
The recently shared leaks by Team Mew detailed the potential changes to the in-game item, which include the removal of the light trails associated with the Treasure Compass gadget. It would instead place a market on the player's minimap that signals the location of the nearby chest, according to GameRant.
Additionally, the new fix to the gadget will inform players of whether or not a chest is located underground or underwater. The upcoming change comes as one of several quality-of-life changes that have been made to Genshin Impact since the release of the Fontaine region.

The game's version 4.1 came with the much-anticipated overhaul of the Daily Commission system that offered alternative forms of progression to the typical Daily Missions. On top of the changes to the Treasure Compass gadget, the 4.6 update is said to also bring an overhaul to the World Map and changes to the Serenitea Pot.
The new quality-of-life updates would come alongside a major character who is expected to be released in the new patch, which is expected to come on Apr. 24, 2024. Version 4.6 will also bring the much-anticipated character Arlecchino into the mix as the newest playable member of the Fatui Harbingers, having the Pyro element, and is a melee weapon user.
New Version Leaks and Rumors
Another leak for the new update is a new boss event that will bring a much more challenging series of fights for players to test their skills. The Legend of the Vagabond Sword will force players to participate in a series of boss fights and is a returning feature in the game, said ScreenRant.
The post made by leaker HomDGCat highlighted the four bosses that are rumored to be included in the returning event. It showed not only their total HP and ATK power but also teased just how much effort players will have to put into the event.
The banners that are expected to come with Genshin Impact's 4.6 update include Arlecchino, Lyney, a 5-star Pyro character, Wanderer, a 5-star Anemo character, and Baizhu, a 5-star Dendro character.
If true, this will mark Lyney's second rerun while marking the first rerun for both Wanderer and Baizhu. While the banner order is still unknown, players who are looking to get the new character Arlecchino should expect her either on Apr. 24, 2024, or May 14, 2024, according to Sportskeeda.
