Man, how come Canada gets cooler things than the US? Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?
EB Games Canada has announced that they have a super awesome pre-order bonus for Mario Kart 8, in the form of a poster reading "Blue Shells: Ruining friendships since 1996." So true. I remember that one time when I blue-shelled a buddy, and when I went to go home he had cut my brake lines and I careened into a tree.
I'm just kidding, that didn't really happen. But I wouldn't have blamed him if he had, because blue shells suck.
And let me just say, I am very jealous of our neighbors up north. But the most surprising part of this discovery: EB Games still exists! Who knew? I was under the impression that GameStop had gone ahead and closed down all of the EB stores after the merger, but it appears they left Canada with EB while switching the US over to GameStop.
Mario Kart 8 is out soon, and these posters are surely going to fly (pun intended). So Canucks the world over, go claim what is yours (and regrettably isn't mine).
