Enshrouded Hollow Halls Update Adds Terrifyingly Difficult Dungeon, Hobbit Doors, And More!

Enshrouded's First Major Update Adds Hollow Halls Dungeons, Quality-of-Life Improvements

Enshrouded's latest Hollow Halls update brings a lot of new content and fixes to the game, including a terrifyingly difficult dungeon that the developers urge players to tackle in a party and not solo.

This is the first big update for the game that the developer, Keen Games, said is focused around the Hollow Halls. These are the titular dungeons that are designed to pose a new and life-threatening challenge for survivors and can be found in every Biome.

The developer said that the new dungeons will definitely test players' mettle and they strongly recommend preparing well and bringing the best food items available as well as campfires. While the Hollow Halls are entirely beatable solo, Keen Games recommends bringing some friends along as a safety measure.

As seen in the footage trailer for the new update, it seems that the new dungeons are crawling with skeletal creatures, some of which are armed with weapons, as well as skeletal dogs that will no doubt take a lot of damage before going down, according to GamesRadar+.

However, with great risks come great rewards and the new dungeons are no different as they will offer players the chance to claim legendary weapons, crafting resources, and trophies. On top of these, the dungeons will, somewhere along the line, offer a new "spooky NPC" that players can bring back to their base as a survivor.

There is not yet much information that is known about this new survivor but given the new dungeon's eerie vibe, there is a high chance that it is of the skeletal variety. The Hollow Halls dungeons are filled with enemies and challenges that scale to the level of the biome in which they are found.

On top of the combat-related features in the new update, the developers will now let players sit on chairs, including toilets. But what many players would most likely be excited about are the new round doors and windows that look a lot like Hobbit doors.

A Lot of New Features and Improvements

Furthermore, there will be new farming options, such as potted plants and additional tree seedlings for players to grow in their base. It also features performance improvements, an overhaul to the loot UI which makes crafting and splitting stacks much easier, and many other tweaks and changes, said PCGamer.

With regards to the town of Willow Crush in the Revelwoods, the area has been completely reworked and there are several other areas that have also been improved. Additionally, the content of magical chests can now be used as materials in crafting stations.

Players will now be able to craft items in stacks and will see a more convenient menu for sending items to other players. The update adds a new warning message if the recipient's backpack is already full.

There is also a new ping function on the world map that will let players point other players to a specific area during a multiplayer session. The game's servers can now be searched and favorited via IP in the server browser, according to IGN.
