It's been well-reported during the last week that The Last of Us: Remastered would be coming out in 1080p for PS4 this summer.
But there was no release date given by Sony or Naughty Dog, at least not anything more specific than "Summer 2014." Well, it looks like we might have a date: June 20, as leaked by GameFly's listing.
It's possible that this is just a placeholder date, but most retailers are usually happy to just put an ambiguous "summer" or first of the month date to hold a place. Specifically putting down the 20th of June seems just a little too specific to not be true.
Target also has June 20 listed on its site, which would seem to corroborate GameFly's listing. We'll have to wait for the announcement from Sony for official confirmation, but if you're itching to play one of the best games of last year on PS4 you can probably go ahead and tentatively circle that date on your calendar.
While we wait for a release date, be sure to check out the graphics comparison between last year's PS3 version and this year's PS4 version, as well as the first trailer for the game.
There's much adieu being made about a game that came out a year ago, but will you be on the hype train on June 20? Let us know in the comments.
