It's been a long road but Borderlands 2 is finally coming to an end. 2K is releasing the last piece of DLC for the acclaimed game today with the fifth and final Headhunter pack. Titled Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax, it sees you joining Sir Hammerlock along with Brick, Mordecai, and Lilith for a relaxing vacation on Wam Bam Island. Of course, it's nothing but- this is the largest Headhunter add-on in the series, one that pits you against a final boss that happens to be Crawmerax Jr., the son of the great crab worm from The Secret Armory of General Knoxx add-on from the original Borderlands.
These Headhunter packs aren't considered part of the game's season pass so you'll have to pony up a few extra bucks if you want them. Fortunately the pack will only cost $2.99 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and Mac via Steam.
If you manage to defeat Crawmerax Jr. you get the honor of wearing his shrunken head as a hat. Each character will get new beach-themed skins as well, including Axton wearing an 80's Aloha shirt and Salvador prepping for a wet t-shirt contest.
That's it for the game! It's been a long, fantastic run- Gearbox has been incredible in keeping us stocked with great bits of DLC, and hopefully they will continue this trend of supporting their titles with 2K Australia's Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, which will hit this Fall and offer moon battles, new weapons and characters, and fill in the gap between Borderlands and Borderlands 2.
