Warren Spector Teases Epic Mickey 3 Despite Obstacles
Spector has acknowledged the clamor for a third installment in the series. While expressing a genuine desire for Epic Mickey 3, Spector cited the challenges posed by his current commitments. He tantalizingly hinted at having a high-level concept for the potential tri-quel but remained tight-lipped about the specifics.
Disney Epic Mickey Returns with Rebrushed Remake
While a new Epic Mickey may seem improbable, fans can look forward to the return of the series with the upcoming release of "Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed." This remake of the original 2010 game is set to hit modern platforms later this year, including PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Warren Spector collaborated with developer Purple Lamp on the remake, although the extent of his involvement remains undisclosed. On LinkedIn, Spector expressed admiration for Purple Lamp and the publisher of Rebrushed, THQ Nordic.
"Being part of the company's ongoing legacy of delivering family entertainment that lives on for decades is more than I could have hoped for," said Spector, highlighting the positive experience of contributing to the project.
