Games are supposed to be fun. No one should dictate what players should or should not do. So long as they are not breaking the rules, players should be able to do whatever they want in the game.
Apparently, some high-ranking players in Helldivers 2 are ruining the fun for everyone, with some forcing others to do certain things, otherwise, they get kicked off the team.
No Democracy
Helldivers 2 is so popular right now. In fact, developer Arrowhead Game Studios had to increase the game's server capacity just to accommodate more players. Despite the game's massive success, however, it seems that some high-ranking players want people to do certain things instead of playing the game in a way that's enjoyable.
Fans took to Twitter to complain about such behavior. Redditor Gilmore75 posted a screenshot of what appears to be a post made by a Helldivers 2 player on Steam.
In the screenshot, the player said that if anyone on the team is using weak stratagems and weapons, they should be kicked off the party. This player urges the community to set a standard and that "silly builds" have no place in pick-up groups or PUGs.

Community Fights Back
The Helldivers 2 community replied to Gilmore85's post and had some pretty interesting opinions. Redditor OuroborosIAmOne said that after playing for more than 100 hours, they have yet to see a completely useless stratagem.
Another Redditor said that it is precisely the game's difficulty and variety of weapons that make Helldivers 2 so enjoyable. "Last night a regular online friend accidentally struck me with a resupply beacon, leading to me frantically running around before being slammed by the pod and instantly killed," said Redditor ShadowKain666. "We all ended up barely surviving an ambush of small bugs just because we were all laughing so hard we could barely function," they added.
Redditor magic6345 said it best: "I don't know, but the fact that people can take such a fun game and then be this serious and mean about it just makes me sad honestly."
Although Helldivers 2 can be unforgiving at times, no one should ever be forced to use a particular loadout if they do not want to. After all, the game promotes democracy and liberation against the terminids and automatons!
