New Suits, Styles, and More
In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, James Stevenson, the community director at Insomniac Games, provided a detailed overview of the version 1.002 update.
Among the highlights are new suits, additional styles for symbiote powers, mission replay functionality, and the ability to change the time of day. Stevenson emphasized the inclusion of suits inspired by Marvel's Hellfire Gala, designed by Russell Dauterman and Bernard Chang, for Peter and Miles, respectively.
Enhanced Photo Mode and Accessibility Features
The update also boasts improvements to the popular Photo Mode, introducing features like action figure mode and stickers. Players can now change the time of day after completing the story, ensuring optimal lighting for their in-game snapshots.
Accessibility receives a major boost with the addition of Audio Descriptions and Screen Reader features. Cinematic Captions and High Contrast Outlines are among the several new features aimed at making the game more inclusive.
Supporting Gameheads through the Fly N' Fresh Suit Pack
A unique initiative accompanies the release of the Fly N' Fresh Suit Pack, available for early access at $4.99. From March 7 to April 5, 2024, Sony will donate the entire purchase price of each Fly N' Fresh Suit Pack (up to $1 million) to Gameheads in the United States.
The Fly N' Fresh Suit Pack includes suits for both Peter and Miles, along with photo mode stickers and frames. James Stevenson expressed gratitude for the community's support in empowering low-income youth and youth of color pursuing careers in the video game industry.
