Season 9 of Brawlhalla is now live and with it is an update that introduces a new test feature that players should check out!
Perfect Timing
Patch 8.05 brought tons of new content and features to Brawlhalla. One of the most notable is a feature that rewards players when they time their dodges perfectly.Due to the nature of the game, a lot of players just mash the dodge button in the hopes of getting out of their enemies' grasp. However, mindlessly doing so does not present any challenge whatsoever.
Players who consider themselves gluttons for punishment now have an incentive to dodge attacks in a more methodical way. After updating to the latest version, players who press the "Dodge" button the moment they exit hitstun will reduce their dodge cooldown by a whopping 20 frames!
This is easier said than done, however, because players only have a four-frame window to initiate a perfect dodge. But, once players master this new mechanic, they will definitely be a force to be reckoned with!
It is important to note that this is still a test feature, meaning, the developers might add refinements if needed.

Ready Before It Crumbles
The Dice and Destruction game mode in Brawlhalla just got even more challenging thanks to the new Brawl of the Week - Crumbling Chasm Clash.
For the uninitiated, Dice and Destruction is a game mode where a dice is rolled 20 seconds after the match has begun. After that, one of several events can happen, which lasts for 30 seconds. These events provide an interesting challenge to all combatants in the arena. For instance, the "Bomb Rain" will cause bombs to rain down from the sky, which players can pick up and throw at their opponents.
That said, Crumbling Chasm Clash is quite similar to Dice and Destruction with just one major difference - the platform gradually crumbles, making things incredibly difficult than ever before!
The player who scores the most points in a three-minute span wins the game!
