Bungie is set to release Update 7.3.5 for Destiny 2 on March 5. This patch is going to bring massive changes to the game, including some tweaks to Threaded Specter and buffs to Solar abilities.
Threaded Specter Nerf
Players who continuously go against Strand Hunters in PvP can rejoice. After quite some time, Bungie will finally implement some much-needed nerfs to Threaded Specter, as well as the Threadlings.
For the uninitiated, the Threaded Specter is a Strand Aspect for Hunters that allows them to leave a decoy behind after using dodge. This decoy can take some punishment and after reaching a certain threshold, it will detonate, causing nearby enemies to take damage. In most cases, the damage they sustain is considerable enough that they can be eliminated by just making a couple of follow-up shots.
In Update 7.3.5, the Threaded Specter will have the same class ability regeneration penalty used by Ensnaring Slam. In other words, each time Threaded Specter is activated, players will have to wait a bit longer to use it again. To compensate for this, the detonation damage dealt by the decoy is increased by 25% against PvE combatants.
How about the Threadlings? After the decoy produced by the Threaded Specter explodes, it will spawn some Threadlings that seek out and attack nearby hostile targets. On the surface, this shouldn't be an issue, right? However, the Threadlings do enough damage to warrant anyone's attention. If opposing players get distracted for even a couple of seconds, they could be eliminated by their enemies who have a line of sight.
So on March 5, Threadlings will receive a couple of nerfs. For one, their aim assist shape size is increased from 0.41 meters to 0.5 meters, making controller users have an easier time aiming at them.
In addition, their base damage against enemy players is going to be reduced from 40 to 35. On top of that, Hunters with the Thread of Evolution equipped will have their Threadlings' damage decreased from 45 to 38.5.

Solar Ability Buffs
Consecration and Gunpowder Gamble are receiving some buffs in the next major patch for Destiny 2. Consecration is a Solar Aspect that enables Sunbreaker Titans to scorch targets upon leaping into the air and then initiate a ground slam that creates a wave of damaging Solar Energy.
That said, Consecration is slated to receive some amazing tweaks, such as:
-
Increased the travel distance of the initial ground follow (a projectile that travels along a surface like Thermite Grenade's wave or the Coldsnap Grenade seeker) from 18 to 20 meters.
-
Increased the height of the slam ground follow detonation by about 1 meter.
-
Increased the travel distance of the slam ground follow from 16 to 20 meters.
-
Increased the travel speed of the slam ground follow (including the Pyrogale Gauntlets' enhanced version) from 16 to 24 meters per second.
For Gunpowder Gamble, this Solar Aspect for Hunters enables them to throw a Solar explosive at their enemies, causing enemies that are hit by the explosion to suffer from Scorch and Ignition. While this deals massive damage to hostile targets, this also damages the Hunter who hurled the explosive.
In Update 7.3.5, Hunters will no longer have to be wary of this self-damaging mechanic because it will be reduced significantly from 144 to 80.
