Titan Forge Games recently announced the new content players can expect in SMITE Update 11.2, which is slated for release on February 20. One of the main highlights of this patch is the introduction of a new god who has the potential to become one of the best in the game thanks to her amazing kit.
The Goddess of the Sky
Nut (pronounced as "noot") arrives in SMITE in Update 11.2. The Egyptian "Goddess of the Sky" is a new ranged god that can attack quickly thanks to her passive ability called Flux. Whenever she hits an enemy god with one of her damaging abilities, she gains a buff that increases her attack speed, which stacks up to 10 times. What's cool about Flux is that Nut can potentially gain more than one stack of Flux depending on the ability she has used to hit enemy gods with.
One such ability is Convergence. When cast, she spawns a couple of orbs beside her; one on the left and another on the right. After a short time, she hurls these projectiles along with her basic attack, dealing considerable amounts of damage to those who are hit. If she is able to directly hit opposing gods with all three projectiles, she can gain two stacks of Flux as a result. That's not all! The orbs she spawns when using Convergence can proc items that improve ability effects as well.
Crashing Comet is Nut's second ability. She calls a comet down from the sky that deals direct damage to the center target and AoE damage to nearby enemies. The one at the center gets rooted for up to 1.3 seconds, while those that get damaged by the AoE will suffer from the "Tremble" status effect, causing them to move sporadically for a brief period.
To ensure that opposing gods are less likely to escape her grasp, Nut can utilize her third ability, Warp. After teleporting a short distance, she unleashes a few projectiles that hone in on nearby targets, prioritizing enemy gods. Besides that, when Convergence is on cooldown, it will be immediately available for use after casting Warp.
Skyfall, Nut's ultimate ability, can set her teammates up for success. That is because after flying for a few seconds, she unleashes a massive black hole that sucks enemies toward the center, making them ripe for the kill. The black hole itself deals huge amounts of damage as well.
