Wandering Wizard, in collaboration with developer New Gen, has officially launched the multiplayer social deduction game, West Hunt, on Nintendo Switch. As of February 8, players can dive into the Wild West-themed experience, enjoying seamless cross-play functionality with PC players during West Hunt's free Steam weekend.

Wild West: Sheriffs and Outlaws Face Off
Set in the Old West, West Hunt offers players the chance to either establish law and order as a Sheriff or embrace the life of an outlaw, causing mayhem in plain sight. The game's unique multiplayer dynamics bring intense matches, rewarding players for their strategic thinking, stealth, and keen detective skills.
As an outlaw, players must build their notoriety by completing criminal missions within a specified timeframe. Tasks range from bribing the Barman to poisoning the water supply and engaging in other mischief. On the flip side, Sheriffs must carefully observe the villagers' behavior, identifying and apprehending outlaws to maintain law and order.
Key Gameplay Features
West Hunt introduces several key gameplay features to keep players engaged and enhance the overall experience:
- Belly Through the Brush: Dodge Johnny Law with randomized elements every game, including Outlaw skin and missions. Sheriff hints are strategically placed each round, adding an element of unpredictability to the manhunt.
- Custom Game Modes: Beyond the standard 1 vs 1 matches, players can team up for 3 vs 3 showdowns, challenge intelligent bots, and create unique rules through custom games, adding variety to the gaming experience.
- Best Dressed in the West: Players can personalize their Sheriff's appearance, customize winning and losing emotes, and even enlist a helper hound to assist in sniffing out trouble, adding a touch of personalization to the Wild West journey.
- Cross-Play Functionality: West Hunt breaks platform barriers with cross-play functionality, allowing players on both Nintendo Switch and PC to face off against each other, providing a seamless gaming experience.
