Delay Confirmed
In today's earnings report from Take-Two Interactive, the publisher revealed that No Rest for the Wicked will now see its release in the first quarter of fiscal 2025. In clearer terms, the game's launch is now scheduled for April, May, and June of 2024, signaling a delay of a few months.
Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, confirmed the setback in a pre-earnings release interview. Zelnick stated, "It did get pushed a quarter, and as always, we will move something if we feel like we just want to give it a little more polish so it can be the best bet it can be and be an even more amazing experience for consumers."
A Glimpse into No Rest for the Wicked
Revealed at The Game Awards last year, No Rest for the Wicked promises a departure from Moon Studios' previous works, taking the form of an isometric ARPG set in the kingdom of Isola Sacra. Players will navigate the aftermath of a king's demise, dealing with power transitions, conflicts, and a worsening plague. The game offers both solo and online co-op gameplay, allowing up to three additional players to join the monster-slaying adventure.
The early access version is set to launch exclusively on PC, with plans for a full release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S. More insights into the game's intricacies are expected during a dedicated "Wicked Inside" digital showcase in March. The exact reasons behind the delay remain undisclosed.
