Absence of Clifford Unger

The post of Clifford Unger's absence from Death Stranding 2 has triggered diverse reactions among the gaming community. While some expressed disappointment at the exclusion of this pivotal character, others lauded Kojima's decision, emphasizing the importance of preserving the impact of a character's storyline.

One X user succinctly captured this sentiment, stating, "If only people would understand this, the number of times an iconic character returns only because people loved it and therefore devalues his arch destroying the impact he made is too damn high. Often a dead character makes more impact than a returning one."

Returning Faces and New Additions

While Clifford Unger won't be gracing Death Stranding 2, fans can still anticipate the return of familiar faces from the original game. Norman Reedus is set to reprise his role as Sam Porter Bridges, alongside Troy Baker, who will once again portray the antagonist Higgs Monaghan.

Additionally, Lea Seydoux will make a comeback as Fragile, joined by new characters portrayed by Elle Fanning and a living doll resembling film director Fatih Akin, voice-acted by Jonathan Roumie.
