On Steam, a lot of people rely on the reviews before they try out a specific game. If you happen to be looking for one that has "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews, well, today's #SteamSpotlight feature is what you're looking for.
The game we are shining the spotlight on today can be summarized in one simple question.
Can you kill the princess?
#SteamSpotlight Feature: Slay the Princess
Released on October 23, 2023, Slay the Princess is developed and published by Black Tabby Games. It is a horror visual novel where your choices matter.
You find yourself heading to a cabin in the middle of the woods. Inside the cabin, you will find a princess. Your goal, quite simply, is to kill her because not doing so will mean the end of the world.

Easier Said Than Done
However, as you may have already guessed, killing the princess will not be a walk in the park. In fact, she will obviously make it hard for you to do so. She'll charm you and even try to kill you over and over again.
As the princess makes it hard for you to do your task, your goal will become a struggle to achieve. However, it is up to you to save the world or not.
And no, romancing her won't work. Or will it? You have to try the game yourself to find out.
In the meantime, here is the official trailer for Slay the Princess.
Steam Reviews for Slay the Princess
Slay the Princess has more than 7,000 user reviews on Steam as of press time. As previously mentioned, these reviews are generally described as "Overwhelmingly Positive" by Steam.
"Slay the Princess is an unusual thing," user mushufasa says in a Steam review. "You might not like it at all or you might like it too much."
"It's not about graphics, but art," mushufasa adds. "It's not about jump scares, but thoughts and fears we're holding in ourselves."
"Really solid visual novel with a fun premise," sleepydogboy says in a separate Steam review. "I'm not usually a big fan of games that have you replay to see a million different endings, but Slay The Princess does a really good twist on that format (that I won't spoil here) that makes replaying feel both fun and like actual progress."
