Activision has recently announced that the second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will go live next week. Players can expect a ton of new content, including new maps and weapons!
Ready for Departure
A few maps are going to be available once Season 2 launches for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 next week. First is "Departures," which is a map where players explore the Departures Area of the Zakhaev International Airport. This is a relatively large map where players can engage in either close-quarters combat or long-range tactical engagements.
It features plenty of areas that players can utilize to protect themselves from sniper fire. Additionally, "Departures" has plenty of interesting areas for those who want to be up close and personal with the enemy, including the Cosmetics Store, Restaurant, and Burger Town, among many others.
The second map is called the Stash House. This is a rather small map where players go to a recently raided Bay Area stash house. Here, players can head to the central atrium, which is a perfect spot for opposing teams to converge. Players can also take the fight outside, where they can go to a bar area or backyard for some fresh air.
Rounding out the brand new maps that are coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is Vista. This is a medium-sized map that is located atop a luxurious Brazilian resort, filled with restaurants, gift shops, and trams. One team will spawn at the large gondola, while the other will begin at the plaza situated at the opposite end.
Vista has plenty to offer, including a raised central walkway that allows for close-range fights, and some vantage points that enable players to pick opponents apart from a distance.

Armed to the Teeth
Players can expect four new weapons to come to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in Season 2 as well, with the first two being available immediately at launch. The BP50 is a new bullpup assault rifle that is best known for its exceptional maneuverability and impressive rate of fire.
Aside from that, the RAM-9 is a new submachine gun that offers best-in-class recoil control and mobility, better ammo reserve compared to its counterparts, and high damage that can eliminate enemies with ease.
The BP50 assault rifle and the RAM-9 SMG are going to be available once Season 2 arrives on all platforms on February 7.
The other two, the SOA Subverter and Soulrender, will be introduced sometime later in the season.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is expected to launch on February 7 at 12 p.m. EST for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
