There is no denying that Palworld is one of the hottest games of 2024. However, despite the game's recent success, the "Pokémon with guns" is now plagued with cheaters, so much so that developer Pocketpair had to post a statement regarding the matter at hand.
Exploiters, Be Gone!
Pocketpair has confirmed in a recent statement that the company is aware of the rampant cheating problem in Palworld and is working to resolve the issue.
"We will continue to focus even more on security and aim to create an environment where everyone can play with peace of mind," said the Palworld development team.
For those who are unaware, players flocked to Reddit to voice their frustrations about hackers who are ruining the experience for everyone.
Redditor Ironmeme420 posted a video showcasing that their Pals were being stolen by other players. Apparently, the thieves were exploiting an unreleased item called the "Radar Sphere" which is similar to Poké Balls in that they are used for catching other people's Pals.
"It's stressful to play online right now due to some players glitching or using hacks to bypass some limitations," said another person who replied to the post.
Thankfully, Palworld players do not have to suffer any longer. Pocketpair has just applied a new patch that implemented the following changes:
-
Fixed a bug where the loading screen did not end when logging into the world
-
Fixed a bug where the world date was not displayed correctly and appeared to reset.
-
Corrected various incorrect text
-
Countermeasures against various cheats and exploits
Now, will these "countermeasures" be effective in preventing cheaters from ruining the fun for everyone? That remains to be seen. Regardless, Palworld players must relaunch their game clients in order to receive the update.

Pocketpair also promises to address other critical issues, including persistent loading screens when trying to load into worlds, and the world date rollbacks that may happen occasionally while playing the game.
Moving forward, the company is going to add raid bosses, crossplay, server transfers, and the highly requested feature, PvP.
