Bungie announced that Destiny 2 players will soon be able to change their in-game appearance via an upcoming feature.
10 Years Too Late?
In the company's weekly blog post called "This Week in Destiny," Bungie announced that the character customization feature will arrive in an update that will be released just in time for the game's next expansion, The Final Shape.
When the feature goes live, players can hop into the game and hover over their Guardians in the character selection screen. Doing so will reveal a new option that lets them customize their Guardian's face, hair, and body type. However, players cannot change the origin of their Guardians, so those who chose a human character will be stuck with it unless they create a new one.
Still, there is some good news! Players can modify their Guardian's appearance to their heart's content as the feature can be enjoyed free of charge!
Additionally, the company is going to reset the Synthweave bounty cap in an update that will be released in March. This is to allow the Destiny 2 community more opportunities to customize their looks once character customization goes live. Snythweave, for those who do not know, is a currency that enables players to convert any of their unlocked armors into a universal ornament for later use.

New Content Soon?
Season of the Wish is now in full swing, but the company announced that the current season is still not done yet. Aside from new story missions, players will be able to engage in new weekly pursuits starting January 30.
Players who are able to complete them will have a chance to redeem one of the prizes from the pool of rewards, which will rotate every week, for six straight weeks!
In addition, Bungie is going to kick off Moments of Triumph 2023, where new in-game and physical rewards will be up for grabs.
While it is great that Destiny 2 players will soon be able to customize their appearance somehow, this feature is probably a bit too late, especially considering that a huge portion of the community has already left due to the myriad of issues the game has experienced as of late.
So, what can you say about the upcoming character customization feature? Are you excited about it or is it 10 years too late?
