Rare Studios, makers of the popular pirate action-adventure game Sea of Thieves, has revealed some interesting details about the upcoming season. Season 11 will bring some massive changes, including a redesigned Quest System, a fast travel system, and revamped Voyages, among many others.
Improved Quest System
When Sea of Thieves Season 11 goes live next week, interacting with the Quest Table will show players a newly redesigned menu. Here, players can quickly look at various tabs depending on what they want to do in the game.
The "Discover" tab shows limited-time events and new Voyages that will be introduced in the future. Speaking of which, the "Voyages" tab allows players to select the Trading Companies they want directly from the Quest Table. Gone are the days when they had to painstakingly look for the NPC in the Outpost just to do the same thing!
For those who do not know, Voyages in Sea of Thieves give players a series of quests they can accomplish that are themed around the different Trading Companies in the game, such as the Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, and Merchant Alliance, just to name a few.
In addition, players who want to complete story-driven quests can go to the aptly named "Tall Tales" tab. All of the Tall Tales that players have yet to accomplish will be available in this section.
When players decide to accomplish some story-driven quests, they can take advantage of the new travel system called "Diving" which will take them directly to where they need to be faster than ever before.
Increased Reputation Cap
Those who want to spend time doing Voyages in Sea of Thieves will be happy to know that the level cap has been raised in Season 11, from 75 all the way to 100. Besides that, every time players complete a Voyage, they will instantly be rewarded with a portion of the reputation without having to go to the Outpost. This change is meant to encourage players to do more Voyages or to have them feel that they have accomplished something even if they decide to log off for the night.
That said, players who successfully reach level 100 for a particular Trading Company will earn a distinction for their efforts. Distinctions unlock the ability for players to purchase rings that showcase their hard work and dedication.
Sea of Thieves Season 11 is slated for release on January 23. So, are you excited for the upcoming season?
