The massive Season 1 Reloaded patch for Call of Duty: Warzone just dropped today, which should have made players excited for the game. However, the community quickly found out that the game was riddled with so many bugs due to the new update, so much so that developer Raven Software had to step in and do something about the situation.

Feature Removed

Raven Software announced in a recent tweet that the company is disabling Champion's Quest for now. For those who are new to Call of Duty: Warzone, Champion's Quest is a unique contract that players can unlock by winning five matches consecutively or accruing 30 battle royale victories over the course of a season. Completing this contract successfully initiates a nuclear blast that destroys the map, crowning the players who initiated the launch sequence as the winners of the game.

That said, Champion's Quest has been temporarily disabled because it seems that it is one of the contributing factors to the issues the game is facing. "At the moment, the current state of the update does not meet our standards for quality and gameplay, and we are committed to addressing the issues promptly to ensure that all players can enjoy #Warzone to the fullest extent possible," the company tweeted.

As to when Champion's Quest will be re-enabled in Call of Duty Warzone, Raven Software simply stated: "at the earliest possible opportunity."

What Happened?

So, what are these issues that Call of Duty: Warzone players have experienced since the Season 1 Reloaded update dropped earlier today? Well, there are certain bugs that would cause the game to be unplayable.

Some killstreaks like the "Precision Airstrike" should send a warning to nearby players that an attack is incoming. However, it looks like the notification is not working at the moment.

Over on X/Twitter, disgruntled players voiced their frustrations about the game's recent patch. "This has got to be the worst update you guys have ever dropped and that's saying something," said user Zyro_wz.

Another user tweeted that this kind of issue should not have happened, especially since the game is made by a multi-billion dollar company.

While it is understandable that players are upset by the current state of the game, Raven Software has been on a roll lately when it comes to providing improvements. Recently, the company made huge changes to the game's anti-cheat detection system to prevent aim-assist abusers on PC.

Now, it remains to be seen when Champion's Quest, as well as the other bugs that are plaguing the game currently, will be addressed. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.
