Fortnite is a battle royale title developed by Epic Games. It can be enjoyed on multiple platforms, including the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC.

That said, you can take advantage of Aim Assist to help you eliminate your opponents. If you are interested to know how, read this guide in its entirety.

What is Aim Assist?

To put it simply, Aim Assist is a feature in Fortnite that helps you aim better when using controllers. What it does is it snaps the crosshair onto a target just by aiming at their general direction. It is important to note that the feature is not available when you are playing the popular battle royale game using a mouse and keyboard combo.

Having said that, you can still enable Aim Assist on PC, provided that you use a supported controller.

Best Aim Assist Settings on PC

Now that you know what Aim Assist is, what are the settings you need to adjust on your PC to have an optimal experience? First, go to the settings menu. Under the "Controller" section, go to Advanced, then Sensitivity settings.

Search for a setting called "Aim Assist Strength" and tweak it to your liking. If you want the in-game crosshair to snap faster towards the enemy, slide it all the way to the max. However, if you prefer having a more balanced feel, then set it to 80%.

Once you are done, be sure to click Apply (or Press "A" on the controller) for the adjustment to take effect.

Best Aim Assist Settings for Consoles

The process of tweaking Aim Assist on consoles is exactly the same as on PC. However, you may have to do a bit of experimenting in order to find the sweet spot! That is because you also have to account for "controller drift." This is a term used to refer to the condition where a controller's joystick would not respond accurately to user inputs.

Put the Aim Assist Strength slider to 80% and use that as your baseline. Then, just adjust the slider accordingly until you are happy with the result.

How About on Mobile?

The good news is that you can tweak the Aim Assist feature on Android devices as well. To do this, head to Fortnite settings, then Touch and Motion. Scroll all the way down until you find Aim Assist. Just enable the feature and that's it! While you're in the settings menu, you can also change the fire mode if you are not happy with the default one, especially if you have Aim Assist enabled.

So, are you going to enable Aim Assist when you play Fortnite?
