SurrounDead Has a New NPC That Lets Players Acquire New Cars and Vehicle Parts

The open-world survival game SurrounDead received Patch 1.4.4d just recently which introduced a bunch of new things. One of the most notable is an NPC that lets players get cars that they have not unlocked before.

Time for Trade

The Vehicle Trader is the newest NPC to come to SurrounDead, which you can find in the Valley. He not only sells you items that allow you to repair your existing vehicles, but offers brand-new cars as well. Speaking of new cars, the "Charger" is a new vehicle that you have to find in the wild. Perhaps the Vehicle Trader has not gotten his hands on it yet, so it is up to you to get to the said vehicle first.

Various Improvements

Patch 1.4.4d brought a variety of improvements as well. The Binoculars, for example, can now be used to tag enemies from afar. The tags are a great way to let other players know which target to shoot at first.

The developers have also made some changes to the crafting recipes. For one, simple fences now require fewer items than before. Besides that, crafting some usable nails now costs a single piece of scrap metal. This yields three nails that you can use to put up fortifications and crafting stations.

In terms of enemy AI, the zombies are now able to use both of their hands to attack you. Be sure to kill them first before things go out of hand!

To give you some leeway, the number of hostile humans that may be generated near spawn areas has been reduced.

Bug Fixes

SurrounDead's latest update resolved a number of annoying bugs too! The issue where you could not add items by dropping them over a container when "Backpack in Backpack" is disabled has now been fixed.

Aside from that, the bug that prevented you from charging your batteries after reloading a saved game has finally been squashed!

  • Improved generator system as it will now every second check if an object requires power, if it does the object will be powered on

  • Reduced recoil of all legendary weapons

  • Zombie can now attack with their left arm, or both. Be careful

  • Remade trash pile collisions so they're easier to manoeuvre on for both player & AI

  • Improved accuracy of shoving and stomping AI

  • Change to human AI shooting to hopefully improve performance when present

  • Reduced human AI spawns near new player spawn areas

  • Reduced pickup timer from 2s to 1s

  • Improved visibility for what context option is selected while interacting with an object, etc

  • Cursor is centred whenever lockpicking is started

  • Increased player turret damage

  • Smoke will stop on a destroyed vehicle when there is no scrap metal left to harvest

  • Reworked code for how AI name/health bar is shown to the player

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed issue where placing an object that required power, you would have to power off and on the generator

  • Fixed vehicle fuel and repair UI staying on screen

  • Fixed battery charge going to 102%

  • Fixed dead player crate flying away on death

  • Fixed subway zombie spawns

  • Fixed UI for sleeping

  • Fixed animal meat bag name and flying away from death location

  • Fixed eliminate quest near Whitewood with objects being in ground (Due to using wrong meshes)

  • Fixed interact UI not being removed when exiting to main menu

SurrounDead Patch 1.4.4d is now available on PC.
