The hefty mid-season update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is slated for launch next week. The Season 1 Reloaded patch will bring a lot of new game modes, a new map, and a new limited-time mode that is inspired by a popular TV show.

Take the Fight to the Mall

One of the highlights of the upcoming Season 1 Reloaded patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is the new map called Rio. This is a 6v6 map that will have players engage in a firefight in an upscale shopping center, with plenty of points of interest to visit, such as a central indoor mall, a plaza and cafe, and some residential spaces, among many others.

The map offers a plethora of hiding spots that players can utilize for cover. There is also enough space for players who just want to duke it out with others using their best loadouts.

Keep Things Interesting

Three new game modes will be introduced in the Season 1 Reloaded patch as well. The first is Team Gunfight, which is a game mode that should be familiar with fans of Call of Duty games in the past. But, for the uninitiated, this particular game has the same mechanics to that of the original "Gunfight," except in a team setting. This means that players will use randomized loadouts at the start of each round to make things more interesting. The team that can adapt to whatever weapons they have at their disposal the most wins!

Headquarters is another game mode to watch out for. The objective here is to defend the titular headquarters from attackers. Players from the defending team must be on their toes as respawns are disabled in this game mode.

Ready to become Infected? In this upcoming game mode, one player will take on the role of infecting other players, turning them into allies. Survivors must do their best to keep the Infected at bay, otherwise, they will lose!

Be One with the Boys

The game's mid-season update will also introduce a new limited-time mode that is inspired by the hit TV series, "The Boys." Players can prove themselves if they are one of the Supes by completing tasks in "The Boys: Supe Siege Event Challenge." Here is a breakdown of the rewards players can get:

  • Get one Operator Heat Vision elimination in The Boys mode (Reward: Calling Card).

  • Deactivate 20 pieces of Equipment using DDoS (Reward: Emblem).

  • Get four Operator eliminations using the MTZ-762 (Reward: Battle Pass Tier Skip).

  • Get two Operator eliminations in a single life with the Overkill Vest equipped, five times (Reward: Large Decal).

  • Get 15 Operator Akimbo eliminations (Reward: Weapon Charm).

  • Get seven Operator eliminations using Lethal Equipment (Reward: Double XP Token).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Season 1 Reloaded goes live on Wednesday, January 17, at 12 p.m. EST.
