Ubisoft's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open-world action-adventure game where you take control of a brave Na'Vi Warrior as you defend your homeland against the tyrannical RDA.

Of course, fighting against humans with advanced technological weapons can be a chore, which is why you need to nourish yourself with the right foods. This game offers a wide array of ingredients that you can cook to provide some much-needed buffs. After all, you do not want to go to war on an empty stomach!

But, how exactly can you cook scrumptious meals in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

Cooking Basics

When you explore the world of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you will come across creatures and wild flora that provide you with ingredients for cooking. When you have enough, go to the various Na'Vi Settlements in the game.

Once you've arrived at the home base, search for a strange-looking Cooking Station. Interacting with it gives you a list of the ingredients that you have on hand, as well as the primary and secondary ingredients for cooking.

The primary ingredient is the one that defines the temporary effect of the resulting food, while the secondary ingredient affects the duration of the buff.

Aside from that, you have to be aware of the quality of the ingredients. Hovering over each one will tell you of its quality. The ranking is:

Fine -> Superior -> Exquisite.

The higher the quality, the better the yield.

Let's take the "Scarab Crawler Fatty Meat" as an example. When used as a primary ingredient, this gives you the "Bark Skin I" buff, which reduces the damage you take from wildlife and RDA enemies by 30%. If you combine that with a Spineberry Fruit that has an "Exquisite" quality, the duration of the effect will last significantly longer.

After selecting the ingredients, you just press the "Cook" button and you're good to go!

Best Foods to Cook

Now that you know how to cook scrumptious meals in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, what are the best foods that you should take with you on your adventures?

One of the foods that you should definitely include in your inventory is the Fruit Salad. You can cook this by using a couple of fruits as your ingredients. The reason why this is great is that it grants you the "Hearty" buff, which increases your base HP by at least 30%.

As you get into the latter parts of the campaign, you will encounter more challenging enemies. Therefore, increasing your attack damage is a must. Prepare a Fruit and Meat Skewer by putting lean meat and some fruit at the Cooking Station. Luckily, these are pretty easy to find in the wild. This food grants you the "Fury" buff, which increases your damage by 35%.

If you are into stealth, picking apart enemies while hidden from plain sight, you can cook the Fruit-Stuffed Mushroom by using any fruit and mushroom that you can find. When eaten, this food grants you 35% stealth damage thanks to the "Ambush" buff.
