LEGO Fortnite
is a survival crafting game set in the world of Fortnite where you can play as cutesy "LEGO" characters. It is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and PC.

If you already have Fortnite installed, you do not need to do anything else. Just fire up the game, scroll down until you see the "Discover" screen and, click it. Then, scroll down again until you see a row with the words"By Epic" on it and you should see LEGO Fortnite from there.

If you are interested in trying this game, read through this guide first to learn the five things that beginners must know before playing LEGO Fortnite.

Gather Resources

LEGO Fortnite borrows a lot of elements from the base game. If you have played Fortnite before, this title should be right up your alley. But, if you are a complete beginner, one of the most important things that you do is to gather resources.

Everything that you can break in LEGO Fortnite will have resources that you can collect for building. For example, whacking a tree provides you with some much-needed Wood to craft weapons and build a house.

There are some resources that you can also find lying around. Make it a habit to grab the things that you can pick up because they might come in handy later on.

Don't Forget to Eat

Guess what? You need food to sustain yourself in LEGO Fortnite. This is a survival crafting game after all. When you drop into the island after choosing "Survival Mode," you will come across some Pumpkins and other food nearby. Go near them and press the interact button to acquire some for yourself.

After that, open your backpack and drag the food that you've gathered onto your toolbar. Press the combat button to start eating. Always keep an eye on the hunger meter (represented by the dotted line that surrounds your character's picture at the top-left corner of the screen) and be sure to eat once it reaches the danger levels.

Crafting Bench is Vital

Among the many things you can build in LEGO Fortnite, the Crafting Bench is the most essential. This allows you to create basic tools, weapons, accessories, and survival equipment.

To build a Crafting Bench, talk to the Cuddle Team Leader (the first NPC you meet at the beginning of your run) and it will tell you to gather resources. Then, secure three Wood and five Granite. These should be easy to find; just scour for these resources in the starting area.

Once you have enough materials, press "Q" to bring up the utility menu, then select the Crafting Bench. Place it somewhere convenient and that's it!

Keep Yourself Cozy

Another important thing that you need to do initially is to create a campfire and build a simple shack to protect yourself from the freezing cold of the night.

To make a campfire, press "Q" to bring up the utility UI, where you will see the aptly named icon. Click on that and you can set it anywhere on the ground.

To build a shack, press "Q" again and click on the second icon at the top. This will lead you to the "Builds" section where you can put up a Simple Shack. It needs an upfront cost of six Wood and a total cost of 13 Wood to bring everything together. Don't worry, Wood is very easy to find in the starting area.

Cuddle Team Leader

If you do not know what to do, the Cuddle Team Leader is your friend. This NPC will provide some guidance, which is useful if you don't know how to proceed. Furthermore, the Cuddle Team Leader gives you the recipes you need to build the Crafting Bench, Campfire, and Simple Shack.

LEGO Fortnite is fun but your experience will be so much more enjoyable if you know what to do. Hopefully, this guide has helped you get started the right way!
