Wargaming Studios is set to launch Update 12.11 for World of Warships tomorrow. Players are invited to join the new "Holidays in Santa City" event where they can get amazing rewards, such as new ships and commanders for a limited time!

Celebrate the Holiday Season

Players can receive presents in World of Warships in the form of Santa's Gift Containers. There are three different sizes, with the Mega Gift Container being the biggest of the bunch. These containers give players a chance to get highly sought-after rewards, including Doubloons, Coal, and free days of World of Warships Premium account.

Additionally, those who are lucky may get their hands on a new ship! A total of 150 ships can be had from Santa's Containers, such as the VII Nelson, VIII Lenin, VIII Enterprise, Tier IX Jean Bart, and IX Alaska, among many others.

Aside from Santa's treats, players who compete in any game mode during the event will get Battle Performance Bonuses, where they will receive Coal and Steel depending on the tier of ships they have used in combat.

For example, Tier V ships can get 700 Coal after each match, while Tier VII Ships receive 800 Coal. Furthermore, Tier VIII and Tier IX ships get 70 and 80 Steel, respectively. But, players who have Tier X ships must use them as much as possible because they will be given a Festive Certificate after every battle.

The Festive Certificate is a temporary resource that can be exchanged for the following:

  • 1 Festive Certificate: 375,000 Credits

  • 1 Festive Certificate: 1x Santa's Gift Container

  • 3 Festive Certificates: 1x Santa's Big Gift Container

  • 5 Festive Certificates: 1x Santa's Mega Gift Container

  • 20 Festive Certificates: 1x Flags Premium Container (max of 3 only)

All players are eligible to receive a Battle Performance Bonus. However, they can get more rewards based on the number of ships they have in their ports. For instance, those who have 400 ships can get a maximum of four rewards per match; one for participating and another three for effective performance in battle.

Get Ready for the New Event

When Update 12.11 goes live, players can partake in the new "Holidays in Santa City" event, where they have 20 levels to complete to earn some amazing rewards. These levels are divided into two progression lines. The first is available for free and it allows players to unlock the Tier VII Scharnhorst '43 at level 10. Those who play at least one battle per day can unlock the ship within five days, according to Wargaming Studios.

The second line of progression, which can be unlocked by spending Doubloons, enables players to obtain two new historical Commanders, a commemorative flag, some Festive Certificates, and the Tier VII Stord '43 as the final reward.

Players can progress through the levels by completing daily and weekly missions during the event period.

Japanese Battleships Now Available

Previously only accessible in Early Access, the Japanese Battleships - VIII Yumihari, IX Adatara, and X Bungo are now available to all World of Warships players for free by researching them in their respective Tech Trees.

What makes these Japanese Battleships formidable is that they are the only ones that have the High-Precision Spotter, a consumable that increases the ships' main battery guns and accuracy when used.

Although they have small HP pools compared to the other ships in the game, these battleships have good concealment that allows them to avoid enemy fire.

World of Warships Update 12.11 goes live tomorrow at 9 a.m. EST.
