Released on September 18, 2023, Lies of P is a soulslike game developed and published by NEOWIZ. For those not familiar with the term, soulslike is a sub-genre of games that resemble FromSoftware's Souls games.
The Steam page of Lies of P perfectly summarizes what the game is all about. According to its description, it is a game that "takes the story of 'Pinocchio,' turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era."
The main character is, as you may have already guessed, is a puppet created by Geppetto. The game is set in city of Krat, and you as the player must face unimaginable monsters that you have to defeat with the help of weapons at your disposal.

What to Expect from the Game
Lies of P is a darkly elegant take on the story of Pinnochio, so do expect a lot of mature content. Particularly, there is frequent violence and gore here, so do keep that in mind if these make you uncomfortable.

Steam Reviews for Lies of P
Lies of P has more than 22,000 user reviews on Steam as of press time. These reviews are generally described as "Very Positive" by the platform.
"It's rare to see a studio completely nail a soulslike on their first attempt, but Lies of P is one of the best to do it," Steam user Cy-Knight_118 says in a review for the game.
"The setting is unique, and I find myself actually interested in the lore and story which is rare for this type of game," the review adds. "The combat is fast-paced and visceral, with some really unique and memorable boss fights and enemy design."
User Flashstep says in a separate review that "Lies of P is an unexpected masterpiece for me."
"They took the classic story and setting of Pinocchio and built on it in a way that's so in-line with some of the other Soulslike greats (namely Bloodborne), while keeping true to the original material and giving the world and characters an amazing macabre-esque take," says Flashstep.
