According to Hexworks, there is a new mysterious quest line that Lords of the Fallen players can accomplish. Although the exact location of where the quest line begins has not been disclosed, the company did provide some guidance in the form of a short poem:
"When time came to do or die, they emerged from their throes,
With meagre improvisations, spreading such desperate blows.
Should you as well seek meaning in these humble souls' disguise,
Don makeshift twin attire and find the one that lies.
Salute, attest and once more show honour to their semblance,
And you'll amass the sincere gifts of one held in remembrance.
Yet hoard not without measure, show mutual regard,
For greed amongst the downtrodden is seen as truly marred."
In addition to the new questline, the Way of the Bucket Update introduced six new spells to Lords of the Fallen. One of the most noteworthy is Septic Heave, which is a new spell that prompts players to hurl several putrid orbs that inflict physical damage and cause poison buildup.

Bug Fixes and Improvements
Players who previously found themselves falling off a ledge while attacking will be happy to know that this has been resolved. The company stated that starting an attack a short distance away from a ledge will no longer cause players to fall down even if the attack animation draws them closer to the edge of the platform. It's important to keep in mind that players will still fall off the ledge if they're already at the edge of the platform when starting the attack animation.
In terms of fixes, the bug that prevented players from completing the game's Umbral Ending has now been squashed. Those who got stuck from finishing Lords of the Fallen prior to this update can now load up their saves and proceed with this ending as intended.
While certain issues have already been addressed, the company is aware of two major bugs that still need to be ironed out. The first issue occurs in the later areas where players may experience some stuttering during the autosaving process. The second problem involves misaligned HUD elements on the Xbox version of the game.

Added additional precalculated PSOs to further reduce micro-stuttering throughout the game world.

Removed redundant collisions only on far-distance assets in the Empyrean Vista. All affected elements are out of the gameplay area.

Second pass to reduce the number of actors casting shadows (small objects and minor details) in the Tower of Penance. No loss in quality.
AI

Increased Scarlet Shadow's senses to ensure it acquires the player as a target even in edge cases where it spawns far away from the player.

Linked the Ruiner to a leashing volume to prevent him from leaving the intended encounter area in Lower Calrath.

Added additional collisions for enemies spawning on the floor of Skyrest Bridge.

A very treacherous NPC now says different things when defeating the player. Still obnoxious, but with style.
