Stone Cold
Update 3 introduces the Basilisk - a new Unrivaled Sniper Rifle in Redfall which has the ability to turn vampires into stone. That is thanks to its unique effect where the first bullet in a full magazine is charged with UV power. This weapon is a great way to keep powerful vampires at bay. However, it is important to note that you cannot turn enemies to stone if they've been petrified recently.
If you want to get your hands on this new weapon, there's good news! The Basilisk can easily be obtained by looting the special containers found in the Basswood Pawn Shop Safe and the Union Market Safe. Alternatively, you can defeat The Rook until the mini-boss drops this new "Unrivaled" Sniper Rifle.

Improvements
The company has made some improvements to Redfall in Update 3 as well. If you are new to the game and are struggling to deal with special vampires, such as Anglers, Shrouds, and Siphons, you'll be happy to know that they will no longer spawn until you complete some missions or reach a certain level.
This patch has also added more respawn points to minimize the issue where you cannot come back to life after death for some reason. Although this issue might not be fully resolved, adding more respawn points is a step in the right direction.
For hero changes, damage-dealing abilities like Jacob's Heartstopper and Remi's C4 now have the ability to shatter vulnerable Vampire Nest Hearts. If you are new to the game, you can make the Nest Hearts vulnerable by defeating the petrified corpses that surround them.
Now, if you are looking for the offline mode, you're out of luck. This feature is not present in Update 3, which is a shame considering that the game was heavily criticized for its "always-online" requirement.
