Following a Destiny 2 copyright infringement lawsuit filed by game developer Bungie against cheat seller AimJunkies, the cheats company finally responds that 'cheats actually made the game better and that 'cheats are not illegal.'

According to a report from PC Gamer, the Destiny 2 developer found a slump in its legal battle against cheat seller company AimJunkies when a federal court judge dismissed its copyright infringement complaint last May. AimJunkies makes a firm stand that their cheat software is an original creation and does not violate any copyright law.
'Cheating Is Not Illegal' Says AimJunkies
Players have different opinions when it comes to cheating in video games. Most gamers see in-game cheating as an element that ruins the game's balance and overall fairness. There is generally no excuse for cheating, especially in multiplayer games. Cheating will always be frowned upon in the gaming industry, and we could only wait for Bungie's retaliation to the cheat seller's recent remarks.
In the past, we have heard about cheaters infiltrating online games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Fall Guys, Fortnite, and even Apex Legends. But how do cheaters dominate public lobbies with these unfair mechanics from cheats? In FPS games, most cheat software enables players to shoot with unlimited range or without recoil. In some instances, players install aimbots which guarantees that every shot will have a high possibility of hitting the target without much effort and skill. There are also maphacks where players can see the enemies' location on the map and know whenever opponents are nearby. Some cheats even enable players to see and shoot players behind walls. All these mechanics are definitely unfair advantages.
In a press release from AimJunkies, the cheats company has stated that their software actually helped Destiny 2 in elevating its sales. AimJunkies claimed that the game's most popular months based on player counts and sales were during the time that AimJunkies were offering their cheat software. AimJunkies did not provide a reference or any basis for their claim in their recently released statement.
'Absurd' and 'Ridiculous: AimJunkies Hits Bungie Lawsuit
The cheats software company even blurted out to the public that Bungie should not be trusted about statements in their filings. They even said, "In fact do not believe 90% of what they assert in their filings", then went further by saying that most complaints made by Bungie are 'absurd' and 'ridiculous'.
In a report from Dexerto, the statement continues by asserting that Bungie is "turning to the courts to accomplish what they are too impotent to do on their own, even with the immense resources and technologies at their disposal," and that "businesses want to make it illegal because they cannot regulate their own players."
AimJunkies ends their statement by saying that they offered to work with Bungie sometime in the past, but they claim that Bungie's 'pride' and 'bully mentality' hindered any collaboration to come into fruition. The cheats software company expressed that such traits from the game developer are what hinders them from 'thinking outside the box.'
In a really odd tone, AimJunkies also mentioned that this behavior from Bungie is what made Activision and Blizzard 'spun them off.' The statement is a bunch of banters and bizarre remarks, and it ended with AimJunkies hoping that 'wiser minds will prevail moving forward.'
