LEAKS CONFIRMED: Dragon Ball Is Coming to Fortnite This Month

Just like what the leaks were telling us last month, the highly-anticipated collaboration between Fortnite and Dragon Ball is just around the corner. A recent tweet by the hit video game Fortnite announces August 16 as the release date of the Dragon Ball event.

The announcement came in the form of a mysterious tweet that reads the supposed release date and a short tagline: "Speak. Name your wish." which is about the ability of the Dragon balls from the anime to grant any wish when they are completed. The tweet came with an image of a golden dragon that looks like Shenlong from the anime series. So far, there has not been any follow-up information from Epic Games about the Dragon Ball event. But it is safe to assume that the Dragon Ball event will commence on the said date, or perhaps Dragon Ball skins will be released.

The Fortnite x Dragon Ball Event Is Coming Next Week

IGN reports that it is still unclear which skins and items will be arriving at this upcoming event. Knowing Fortnite, we can expect some more mash-ups of media franchises. Quite literally, anything can happen. As the same report cites, The Naruto Shippuden Fortnite event featured Naruto himself plus three other characters.

Just last month, we featured a news article about leaks teasing fans about an upcoming Dragon Ball Event. The Fortnite x Dragon Ball event that was leaked promised us news skins, back bling, and some mythic seasons. This is to hope that the event will turn out just like what the leaks have predicted: teeming with new features.

According to some reports last month, a total of four Dragon Ball skins will be introduced as soon as the update arrives this Aug. 16. The leaks suggest that Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus will be the skins featured in this upcoming Fortnite event. It is safe to assume that Goku will definitely join Fortnite as a new skin. By next week, we might just see looters throwing some energy balls around.

Currently, there is still no information released about the event's in-game quests and mechanics. Looking at Fortnite's recent tweet, the event may involve some old skin collecting and some wish-granting. We might see an event where players collect the Dragon Balls for a chance to redeem really valuable in-game prizes and bonuses.

What We Know So Far About Upcoming Dragon Ball x Fortnite Collab

As exciting as the previous anime collaboration, the upcoming Dragon Ball x Fortnite cooperation is much anticipated. Epic Games hopes to have a similar level of success to the Naruto event by highlighting the Goku and Vegeta skins. Along with the Dragon Ball-themed skin and cosmetics, players can also look forward to a month-long event and even mythic weapons.

The free-to-play battle royale game will feature an anime partnership for the second time this year. Fortnite and Naruto have already worked together on two other occasions, and those partnerships were successful for the FPS online game. The Dragon Ball event will surely appeal to a large population of Fortnite players following the classic cartoon series.
