Fan-Favorite CS Map Tuscan Makes CS:GO Full Release

Nostalgic 1.6 Counter-Strike map is now available on CS:GO.

Thanks to Valve, mapmakers have been accessible in making their maps on CS: GO. Many of these mapmakers prefer to create maps based on the original version of the FPS game. Today, the popular Counter Strike map Tuscan makes its first full release in the Steam Workshop.

In 2021, Map developers Catfood and Brute unveiled a sneak peek of their CS: GO rendition of the classic Counter-Strike map Tuscan. This map brought excitement to a lot of CS: GO gamers, especially fanatics of the classic LAN game version.

After Some Years of Development, Tuscan Is Finally Here

Just a few hours ago, the same map developer, Catfood, finally announced the official release of the Tuscan map in CSGO. In a time when CS: GO is becoming one of the biggest esports favorites, there is still room for some nostalgia. The addition of maps like Tuscan can potentially attract OG players to come back and once again run on the battlefield.

According to Win.gg, Tuscan has been under development for a while, keeping users waiting as of 2019. The map's designers have been working on it to make it look contemporary while adhering to the original idea. Since the first half of 2021, the updated Tuscan map has been under beta testing, with only a select group of skilled gamers and artists having access. Some gamers have already explored the formerly sandy location's ancient lanes.

On Twitter, Catfood wished everyone fun accessing the newly released CSGO map. "The Tuscan full release is now out on the workshop. I wish everyone a good game and have fun!" said the map creator on the bird app.

The new Tuscan has a substantially broader choice of colors than the previous version. Instead of dark hues, the artists have used soft pastel colors and a clear blue sky. Vegetation is another recent addition that gives life to Tuscan's otherwise bleak terrain. The developer's perspective toward the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive maps is reflected in the remake's contemporary upgrade.

Although looking more vibrant, this color change for Tuscan did not appeal to some players as they thought it was too bright and too colorful for a CSGO map. Its developers have been very open to accepting suggestions from fans and are in the process of toning down the said bright color palette.

Tuscan May Join Official Matchmaking Soon

For sure, many Counter-Strike fans have been waiting for the release of this project since its announcement last year. The 1.6 map is finally here: call your friends and complete the squad to reminisce some old CS memories. But as EarlyGame reports, CSGO fans who have been following the project are aware that Tuscan has been in the factory for repairs. A few days ago, fans received their first update on the ongoing project: a closed beta trailer. The fabled 1.6 map was revealed to be on a comeback timeframe.

It is still unclear whether the map will make it to the official matchmaking. A really interesting detail that many observe from the map is that it looks like a culmination of the new and old age of Counter-Strike: it is revived 1.6 map, but then it looks a lot the same as the map Inferno, which is a CSGO favorite.
