Listing all of the best Xbox exclusives to ever release is a tall order, simply because there are tons of games that have launched on Microsoft's line of consoles over the years. But there is a handful that truly stand out from their peers - unflappable in every way, and some of them still shining even years after release.
Take note, however, that the games included in this list are not ranked in any way. So no games in here are supposed to be better than the others with them, as they are all excellent ones in their own right. So without further ado, let's begin!
Fable
Ever Fable the fantasy action RPG franchise launched for the original Xbox in 2004, it has been hailed as one of the best Xbox exclusives ever, period. According to ScreenRant, fans loved the original Fable game (and the franchise as a whole) for its unique take on the fantasy genre, as well as its beautiful environments. Just look at this gameplay captured on the OG Xbox, and tell us that these visuals don't stand up even today:
While the series has bee in trouble recently with the 2016 cancelation of Fable Legends, it is due for a major return with a new entry simply titled "Fable" (though many folks are calling it Fable 4). The game was announced for the Xbox Series X and PC, and is also going to release on Game Pass on day one. The official description of the game says it is "a new beginning for the legendary franchise," which could mean it's not a sequel but a next-gen remake. But no one knows until new information pop up.
Gears Of War
The original Gears is also another mainstay of every "best Xbox games ever" list, and for good reason. This game (and its succeeding sequels) basically kept Microsoft's Xbox 360 ahead of the PS3 for most of the seventh generation of consoles, and was hailed as one of the most beautiful games of its time as well. It sold well enough that it kicked off a flagship Xbox series that is still pretty much alive today.
IGN writes that what made Gears Of War so special is the fact that it's a triple-threat game. It's a single-player, co-op, and multiplayer title all rolled into one. Combine that with the innovations brought about by the second generation of Xbox Live, and it's easy to see why this is one of the best Xbox exclusives to ever launch.

Sea Of Thieves
Sea Of Thieves is one of those games that just get the pirate fantasy right. GamesRadar says that this is one of the best games to play with your friends, just because of the sheer amount of activities you can do in here.
Aside from the typical pirate stuff (treasure hunting, sailing, taking ships), you'll also find yourself tussling with the undead, and even collecting things to sell to any merchants. But of course, who wouldn't forget singing sea shanties while downing some rum or grog? Sea Of Thieves is the kind of game you play if you just want to have a great time - bar none. And it's only available on Xbox and PCs.
Halo
To say that the first Halo game tops every single list of the best Xbox exclusives ever is the understatement of the century. Because it really is. Halo Combat Evolved was literally the first game to demonstrate that you can convincingly do first-person shooters on a console - a genre that used to be very exclusive to PCs.
More than just basically jumpstarting the entire "war" between Xbox and PlayStation, Master Chief's first romp through the Human-Covenant war would also bring Microsoft its most iconic game franchise. Much like how God Of War and Gran Turismo are synonymous to PlayStation, Halo is synonymous to Xbox. Master Chief is also one of the most iconic characters in video game history, and his very image is what Xbox is all about.
