Battlefield 2042 Players Voice Out Frustrations Over Missing Game Features

Battlefield 2042 is on its way to becoming a 'dead game,' reports say.

Battlefield 2042 is probably one of the most controversial game releases of 2021. Many players have been complaining about how the game lacks important game features like some basic movement controls and certain game modes. Overall, the game received heavy criticism for the said missing features.

Year After Battlefield 2042 Release, Players Still Claim Important Missing Features

Even though the game has been steady in providing occasional updates for maps and gameplay, many players on the internet expressed that the efforts of the game are still lacking. A year from its release, some claim that game is not even playable. Despite the enticing trailers that the developers released before dropping the game, it is quite disappointing how the game turned out.

Sportskeeda reports how many gamers are now expressing disappointment with the game's very poor progress throughout its existence. The first was with bugs, and low-quality overall enraged many ardent fans. The second issue is with the execution and gameplay ideas since many fundamental aspects are still missing from the game. In addition, topics like specialist diversity and vehicles have historically been among the most well-liked ones frequently discussed on social media sites like Reddit.

Players on Reddit claim that what Battlefield developer DICE is doing is pushing false promises and adding updates that confuse its already dissatisfied fanbase. Some are saying that this poor performance from the FPS game can be attributed to the changing trends in the gaming industry. The report from Sportskeeda mentioned that in the past, game developers were releasing games they knew that their fanbase would play and enjoy.

The situation with Battlefield 2042 is just worsening. This came to a point now where players themselves publish lists of features that the game is lacking. The disgruntled fans at this point look like hopeful children sending Santa their Christmas wishlist, but we all know that Santa will not be coming to town any time soon. People do not even know if Santa, DICE exists at all.

It has been a year. Maybe it is finally time for Battlefield 2042 and DICE to listen to their concerned communities. Skin releases now and then would certainly not quell the anxiety and distrust among its players. If DICE still cares for the game, they should start looking at the long lists of missing features in the game and do something.

Battlefield 2042 Is Almost a 'Dead Game' - Reports

When the first trailer for Battlefield 2042 was released, the creators made a lot of promises to the player base. Given that the game only supports multiplayer, a higher emphasis on maps was anticipated-unfortunately, many of the offered promises disappointed people.

A report from Gamenguide following this topic has already claimed that Battlefield 2042 is on the brink of irrelevance. According to the report, Battlefield 2042 is at a position where not many games, especially multiplayer ones, have been known to recover from, based on how many gamers it has lost since its initial release. The game is currently considered to be dead by many participants.
