In a really interesting partnership, the sandbox game Minecraft joins forces with the UK's National Trust to rebuild the Corfe Castle ruins to their former glory - inside the game, of course.
This month, The National Trust celebrates the Festival of Archeology, where they partnered with Minecraft to promote national landmarks to the younger generation. The UK office hopes to spark some interest among the youth in caring about important archeological sites in the country.
Minecraft Partners With National Trust to Promote Archeological Sites
Eurogamer reports that the event also promises a lot more fun activities. Xbox invites players to join the Corfe Castle server to replicate the wonder and have Minecraft fans showcase their impressive building abilities. Additionally, a Minecraft: Education Edition bundle of the game will be created "to assist the long-term positive impact of this project," "benefiting students in classrooms across the UK."

The classic Minecraft survival game features many fictional structures like End Cities, Nether Bastions, Pillager Mansions, and many others, this partnership with the National Trust opens the possibility that Minecraft would soon implement real-life historical structures.
Minecraft Youtuber Grian Leads the Corfe Castle Efforts
In a recent report, Microsoft News shared that the initial build will be created by Minecraft YouTube creator Grian and presented in a hero video by upcoming British presenter and historian Alice Loxton. By inviting people to reimagine their buildings in the game via the Marketplace, the goal is to encourage a younger audience to get familiar with historical structures and locations across the nation.
Grian is one of the biggest Youtube Minecraft content creators on the Internet. The Youtube creator has built a large following by creating awesome builds and easy-to-follow tutorials. He is well-known for creating his version of already existing Minecraft structures which left many Minecraft in awe. His most-viewed videos on Youtube are tutorials about making the best Minecraft house, and his channel also features some videos about some mega-build projects.
In the video posted by Xbox, Grian is shown to be having fun rebuilding and designing the ruins from scratch. An expert from the National Trust guides him. Despite how complicated the final build looked, Grian did not seem to break a sweat.

In a statement, National Trust Archeologist Martin Papworth shares that the National Trust is pleased to partner with Xbox and see young people engage with the United Kingdom's rich historical heritage through the help of technology. The archeologist adds that Grian has done a brilliant job restoring Corfe Castle to its former glory.
According to Papworth, Grian not only did an accurate recreation of the various historical styles within the castle grounds but also combined it with his imagination. The archeologist expressed that they are excited to see more inspirational designs by other Minecraft players.
This event is historical for Minecraft and the National Trust as it involves a significant campaign. Players can join this historical event by registering for the Corfe Castle server and being updated with the latest news about Minecraft and the partnership.
