Following the departure of German pro-Riccardo "Rizex45" Mazzotta from the team, Rocket League team Evil Geniuses is now on the hunt to find an additional member to complete the squad.

EG will select their new member after the RLCS 2021-22 World Championship. According to a report from SHIFTRLE, at the moment, the Rocket League team is choosing between Kurtis "Kash" Cannon, David "Rezears" Wünsch, and Damian "Tox" Schäfer.

Evil Geniuses decided to focus on developing their core duo of Ivan "ivn" Sabri and Leonardo "Catalysm" Christ Ramos going into the winter after they could not make it to the RLCS 2021-22 World Championship.

Rizex45 Leaves Evil Geniuses, Explores Other Options

Last July, Rizex45 declared his intention to leave the Evil GeniusesRocket League starting lineup. Rizex45 was among the first German players to be accepted into the Rival Series League for the eighth season. He participated in the RLCS over the following one and a half years, accumulating experience. He was successful with German Amigos right away after joining them. His overall finish in the European Spring Split was second overall.

As eGamersWorld reports, the team stopped producing results throughout the spring part of the season after only once reaching the top 6 spots of the regional split. The European team, however, was disqualified from the season's final Major and the final Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - World Championship. And recently, he left Evil Geniuses after joining them for almost 16 months.

After Failed Run for World Championship, EG Focuses on Rebuild With Core Duo

After a failed run for the RLCS 2021-22 World Championship, the organization is geared toward developing its core duo of Ivan "ivn" Sabri and Leonardo "Catalysm" Christ Ramos. After promising results in their previous competitions, the organization banks on the two to lead the team as they rebuild in the new season.

Even though the team is optimistic for a stronger run next season, everything is still unsure as "Catalysm" might be sought after by other teams during the offseason.

According to reports, Evil Geniuses have already talked with other players in the hunt for potential replacements. The team is also yet to announce if they will go international and pick a non-German speaker to complete their squad.

Given the rumors of picking non-German-speaking players, the team is eyeing Kurtis "Kash" Cannon to be added to their roster after a promising performance that the player showcased across previous games. Kash can be a strong addition to playing with Ivn and Catalysm.

As of this moment, the future of the Evil Genius Rocket League team is yet to be determined. Stay updated with the latest Rocket League news to be informed of future developments.
