In Stray, your titular cute protagonist will find its way to a slum area where a bunch of robots live in relative squalor. A group known as the Outsiders, whose sole goal is to go outside of the sealed city, once lived there.
To escape the city yourself, you'll need to help the robot Momo find four notebooks belonging to himself and his Outsider friends. These notebooks all have notes that will help you to get outside (hence the group's name), as well as help allow you to communicate with the other inhabitants of this world devoid of humans.
So without further ado, here's how to find notebooks in Stray's Slums.
First Notebook: Momo
Your first task as soon as you get to the slums is to visit Momo, the only Outsider still living there. The Guardian will point you to a house with the big orange neon sign, which you'll have to climb up to the rooftops to get to.
Once inside the apartment, speak to Momo. He will tell you how much he misses his friends, and how he's basically abandoned all hope of going Outside anymore. But he does give you his notebook outright, writes VG247. Afterwards, he will ask you to try and find the rest.
If you press D-Pad Down, B-12 is going to tell you that in order to find the three remaining notebooks, look for the Outsiders' symbols on the houses in the slums. That's how to find the notebooks in Stray. The symbol is a simple-looking "sad" emoji on a blue background. So go up to the rooftops and survey your surroundings, and go to the houses where you see the symbols.
Second Notebook: Zbaltazar
According to GameSpot, Zbaltazar's notebook is in the high-rise apartment next to where the Guardian is. It's marked with the sad emoji symbol of the Outsiders.
Climb up the building past the two bots trading paint. On the rooftop, you'll find a ventilation shaft. Before you enter, take out the power source to the left of the ventilation system to stop the fan. Then drop into the apartment through the fan shaft.
Once in there, you'll find Zbaltazar's notebook in a tall pile of boxes close to the bot portraits on the wall. Jump off the boxes to tip them over, and the notebook is in one of these boxes.

Third Notebook: Doc
Next up, you're going to try to find Doc's notebook. His house is once again marked with the Outsiders symbol, which is on a house with a balcony.
PC Invasion writes that once you go into the hole, you'll see some sort of library. Look around until you find a makeshift living room. There, you'll find a key to a safe with a note. The note gives a hint to where the safe is: it's behind a stack of books. So look around to find stacks of books, jump on them to flip them over, and see which one of them hides the safe behind.
Use the key to open the safe, then get Doc's notebook.
Fourth Notebook: Clementine
Now, for the last part of our guide on how to find notebooks in Stray. The final one is in Clementine's flat located above a vending machine, where Teddy hangs out, writes SportsKeeda. Climb up to the roof and jump through the open window beside the big Outsiders symbol.
Once inside the flat, go through the broken glass doors and you'll find a desktop computer. Clementine's notebook is just lying there.
And that's it! That's how to find notebooks in Stray, so you can be on your way to open up the sealed city and finally go outside.
